UNESCO Institute of African Culture and International Understanding Visits Our School
Our school had the honor of hosting a team from the UNESCO Institute of African Culture and International Understanding on 30th, January, 2025 and what an enriching experience it was!
The team engaged our students in an insightful session, shedding light on their mission; to foster intercultural dialogue and promote international understanding between Africa and other civilizations. Through engaging discussions, they emphasized the beauty of cultural diversity, tolerance and mutual respect. Students learnt about values of different tribes and most importantly, that no culture is superior to another.
The session was interactive and lively, with students eagerly asking thoughtful questions. The UNESCO team responded with deep insights, making the learning experience both fun and educational. It was a moment of eye-opening revelations and cultural appreciation!
After the workshop, the team led by Ambassador Adebola Labiran, the Former Nigerian High Commissioner to India and now the Senior Program Advisor to the Institution, paid a courtesy visit to the Director of the College. Their visit ended on a high note, with smiles, inspiration, and a shared sense of fulfillment.
This event was more than just a visit-it was a celebration of culture, unity and global understanding. We look forward to more collaborations that broaden our horizons and shape us into culturally aware global citizens!
